Capital History Ottawa (#colourized): Vernissage at Irene's Pub, Dec. 5-31 (2022)

Launch Party: Mon., Dec. 5, 5-9pm

It's a vernissage, by me, Ashley Newall! Never thought I'd become a visual artist (I'm a musician), & yet here we are! This vernissage, running Dec. 5-31, features my historical colourized photos of (19th & early 20th century) Ottawa!

At the Dec. 5 launch party I'll be opening my Byward Market stand inside Irene's Pub! Which means I'll also be selling my vintage Canadian beer posters & assorted Canadiana, over & above having multiple copies of my framed colourizations on hand & at the ready for immediate sale. I'll be taking to the mic twice, at 6pm & 8pm, to speak about the project and the colourized pieces, most of which I've written corresponding stories on for Apartment613. So, come for the art, stay for the history!

Start your Christmas shopping early, &/or pick up a little somethin' for yourself!
