First Known Photo (Singular) of Ottawa

To accompany my upcoming article for Apartment613 , titled "First Known PhotoS of Ottawa," I'm posting the first known photo (singular) of Ottawa here. “View of the Rideau Canal looking East towards the Albion Hotel, Courthouse and Dickinson Warehouse, c.1857.” (Photo kindly provided by Bytown Museum – edited for clarity by Ashley Newall.) To get your bearings, centre-left in the above photo is the original (grey) Courthouse, which stood where Arts Court now stands (on the SE corner of Nicholas St. & Daly Ave.)
